After going to hell 1993, Jason Voorhees film career was stalled. The Slasher thing had grown stale and badly behaving teens were few and far between.
Following an arrest for cocaine possession, Jason retreated from the public eye. In 1997, after watching the resurrected career of John Travolta, he began looking at a career shift.
After an appearance alongside fellow actor Sandra Bullock, the undeniable chemistry between the two led to this project "Love on Crystal Lake". Envisioned as a reboot of Jason's usual formula, fused with the popular romcoms of the era. Unfortunately, fate had other plans, and the film was shelved after 9/11.
